Statistics Brief

After this brief, I was really up for the challenge, I had images of what my final piece would look like already in my mind, which probably wasn't a good thing, but it's good to have motivation. We were shown a number of motion graphics during the brief which was extremely inspirational, maybe a little out of our league, but it was something to look up to and work towards.

Adrian Johnson mixes illustration with graphic motion to create cute cartoon characters with a narrative. My favourite is the Robinsons one which has been aired on tv a number of times, it's persuasive and not too overpowering and targets children as well as adults.

Their work is a little more surreal but still funny and memorable. Also quite cute, but more in a clever way than Johnson. They have done a number of adverts for Toyota, portraying the cars as alive and playful.

This most memorable piece of work I saw of his. Very good use of typographic motion graphics, very very persuasive and clever to get the characters of the people over just by text and colour.

Now I just need to research into a number of statistics that I could use and then create a narrative to make it persuasive and interesting. Quite a tall order, but if I'm motivated then I'm sure I'll be able to pick up Flash quickly and produce quite a high standard video.
