Final Crit

This was again very useful and pushed me to develop my final idea even more and make it more readable and easy to understand. My 2nd dimension of using the environment as my base and create an Amnesty International style installation received many positive feedbacks as it was clear what the message was and it gave a serious tone.

My poster on the other hand needed some alterations to it as the woman in a cage with a hamster wheel made it look too much like she was an animal which wasn't what I wanted. Other problems with it was that there were too many levels of meanings, too much crammed into one poster. If a person waiting for the bus looked at it, they wouldn't have time to suss out all the different meanings within the poster. So all I had to do was take a step back and simplify the poster to make it easy to take in and understand.

From the crit, I began sketching out simpler ideas of incorporating the woman in a cage with a sewing machine overpowering the figure without making the woman look animal-like. This was very difficult as I was planning to stick with the first cage-ideaas my final idea. I felt like I had already concluded my project. But in order to make it a successful poster, I need to bring it back down to earth and simplify it.
