Bond and Coyne Association Talk

Unfortunately only one of the designers from Bond and Coyne managed to make it to Bournemouth that day, though it was still very inspirational and interesting to hear what work they had done and the process they go through to complete each project. Mike did his art foundation at AUCB and another one of their employees did his graphics degree there too, so I'm very excited about where my degree will lead me. It's very comforting to know that there could be a good outcome from my degree, and this company is a prime example of one.

I noticed they tend to use a range of different materials rather than just plain paper to present their client's information. They use the texture and shape of the materials to their advantage to give a certain style and to target certain audiences. The overall style of their work is a clean-cut feel, very neat and organised with a fresh purity to it. Even their website is very modern and simplified which works well.

The way Mike interpreted my camera idea was very different to what it was meant to be, this clarified to me that the message I was trying to get across was not very well portrayed in the imagery I used, so I then began thinking of different ways I could show how young people don't truly understand the seriousness of Poverty and how they're not doing anything.
