1st tutorial- Research and Initial Ideas

At this point, I didn't have much grasp on what idea I liked in my group of ideas. I had a feeling that I didn't like any of them, so I was hoping that in this tutorial I could be guided in the right direction. I did get quite a bit of feedback and by listening to other people's ideas I was able to pick out some general mistakes on how we should approach the project and the way we work in graphic design.

Overall, I didn't feel that the tutorial was all that helpful, though I did get some tips on how to think and what I should make my top priority. I honestly thought that I myself had to go back and think up some more ideas that were better and more related to War on Want. I had basically gotten into the habit of just looking at poverty in general, I had lost the meaning behind War on Want's work and who they help.

At the moment I'm just concentrating on developing the poster for the Adshel and don't feel like I have the time to start thinking about the 2nd dimension piece. I think after I've fully grasped the poster campaign, I will begin to try and link it to other ways of advertising. For example, making stickers, badges, advertising on cars, stickers for cars etc. All these are targeted towards the younger generation. I also need to think if there are any 3d objects I could create that would link to my idea and still be interesting with the potential to hand out to people as information on War on Want.
