After the fun of guessing our product, we were raring to create a successful idea to promote the product. We did have a little trouble coming up with the correct idea; we didn't want to be too clichéd with how our message came across. With a lot of enthusiasm, we carried on coming up with a number of ideas then knocking them down one by one. It became evident that we were thinking too much into the promotion method, so we cleared our heads and began to think simply how a dog would react to the pedigree product.
By doing this, we were able to incorporate the idea of the rainbow's 'ray of light' and a dog jumping up in the air to receive treats from the sky. The tagline was 'little treats from heaven'; simple, short and sweet. It gets the message across and is not annoying but makes you feel good inside and want to buy the product for your dog. Not only was the tagline simple, but the method of creating the imagery is also simple and down to earth. The hand-crafted rainbow and cloud, brings back childhood memories and adds to the cutesy, soft and warm feeling this poster emits. I feel this project was a success because it exercised good use of teamwork and motivation to produce a creative poster.
